A teenage boy has been charged after a passenger train hit a trailer on railway tracks in Sydney’s northwest last week.
Emergency services were called to Level Crossing Rd at Vineyard, south of Windsor, about 5am on January 25 after the city-bound train struck a trailer that was stopped on the tracks.
All 29 passengers on board escaped injury, and the driver was checked by paramedics as a precaution.

The crash caused delays for commuters on the T1 line as some services were halted and others delayed.
Police on Monday arrested a 16-year-old boy over the incident.
He has since been charged with 13 offences including acting with intent to kill or injure a person on a railway, stealing a motor vehicle and driving during a disqualification period.
He was refused police bail to appear in a children’s court on Tuesday.
