A 14-year-old boy has been charged following a carjacking in North York earlier this week.

Toronto Police responded to a call for a robbery on Tuesday at about 3 p.m. in the Bayview and Sheppard Ave. area.

Police alleged that the victim was entering her vehicle when she was approached by five suspects. Cops said one suspect grabbed the victim and removed her from the vehicle, then got into the vehicle and fled the area.

The vehicle was equipped with GPS tracking and officers from 33 Division found it with one suspect inside.
The boy, who can’t be named as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with robbery, possession of property obtained by crime, and breach of recognizance.
