They were excavated during construction at the site.
“The bones have been taken for forensic examination to determine if they are human,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.
A crime scene remains at the construction site as NSW Police investigate the discovery.

7NEWS understands if the bones are confirmed human, an early line of investigation will be whether they could be Lynette Simms’ remains.
Simms went missing in 1982 and her husband Chris Dawson was found guilty of her murder.
Dawson worked at Cromer High School, a kilometre away from the current crime scene.
