The cheapest D reserve “nosebleed” tickets start from $129.90 in Australia — about $40 more than for similar seats at Taylor Swift’s recent Australian concerts.
Prices go up to $269.90 if you want A reserve aisle seating, with a regular GA standing ticket selling for $199.90.
Financially struggling fans have taken to social media to slam the cost of tickets, which are significantly higher than the last time the Grammy Award-winning artist went on tour in 2022.
One fan described the price hike as “vile” as Australians struggled with the rising cost of living.
And it’s not just Australians grumbling about the pricey tickets.
“Paid £57 (A$100) for my Happier Than Ever seat, got the same seat for Hit Me Hard And Soft and it was £148.70 ($A285),” one UK-based fan wrote.
“I couldn’t believe the prices,” another said.
“I just saw Muse in the same venue last year and am seeing Foo Fighters in a few months, both HUGE bands, and the prices were about 33 per cent less.”
“Ticket prices these days are ridiculous,” one music lover complained. “It’s absolute insanity. I can’t believe there are so many people out there that can afford to buy these?”
Eilish’s Australian gigs kick off in Brisbane with four shows at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre from February 18 next year.
Then Eilish will hit up Sydney for another four concerts at Qudos Bank Arena before finishing with four shows at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.
The tour will follow on from the release of new album Hit Me Hard And Soft on May 17.
General sale tickets will be available from Friday May 3 via Ticketek.
