(NewsNation) — Don’t sound the death knell on Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marriage just yet.
Affleck may not have attended his wife’s 55th birthday at her Water Mill mansion last weekend, but he is flying out next week, sources said — possibly for her actual birthday which was on Wednesday.
“He’s supposed to be flying in for the week,” my insider said.
Lopez’s party was “Bridgerton” themed and guests had elaborate costumes made for the fete, despite the searing 90-degree heat. Guests included her mother, her sister and her entourage including her manager Benny Medina, and her PR person Desiree Gruber.
Lopez had spent the previous week hanging out with Affleck’s daughter Violet, with whom she has a close relationship.
As for whether or not the two are headed for divorce, our insider would only say:
“They’re still wearing their rings.” (Note: Other sources say, “It’s over — Ben just doesn’t want to pile on while Jennifer is having such a bad year.”)
Lopez has been out east for the majority of the summer trying to keep a low profile.

“It’s been a horrific year,” another source said.
Another friend said. “She’s just trying to heal.”
However, no one was shocked to not see Affleck at the Bridgerton-themed party.
“That’s not his scene,” the original source said. “He’s much more low key and a homebody. He hates that stuff.” But kudos to him for flying in to see Lopez this week… if he actually shows.
