The wife of Dr. Michael Mosley is expressing her grief.

Dr. Claire Mosley shared a heartfelt tribute to the late BBC journalist, whose body was found four days after going missing during the couple’s vacation in Greece, and reflected on their life together.

“It’s devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband,” Claire said in a statement to People June 10. “We had an incredibly lucky life together. We loved each other very much and were so happy together.”

She also acknowledged how the family, including her and Michael’s adult children Alex, Jack, Dan and Kate, have endured such a difficult loss saying she is “incredibly proud” of them.

“My family and I have been hugely comforted by the outpouring of love from people from around the world,” she continued. “It’s clear that Michael meant a huge amount to so many of you.”

Michael, who was a medical journalist known for his appearances on BBC’s The One Show, was found dead June 9 on a rocky beach in Agia Marina in Symi, Greece, after Claire reported him missing June 5. He was 67.
