As she shears off her already close-cropped hair, Eggert’s daughter, Keegan, 12, makes an appearance to help her mom finish the job. Eggert ended her video by bravely smiling and stroking her head before sharing photos of herself and her daughter embracing one another.

“Maybe healing involves not so much changing ourselves but allowing ourselves to be who we are — Madeleine Eames,” her caption read.

Eggert’s video, which was set to the Beastie Boys’ song Fight Your Right, generated over 3,500 likes, with Alyssa Milano commenting, “Grace. You have the most grace. It’s inspiring and I appreciate you,” while Jennie Garth added, “Sending you a big hug ❤.”

In January, Eggert, 52, told PEOPLE she had been diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer at the end of 2023.

The Charles in Charge actress said that her diagnosis came after she experienced a terrible pain in her left breast.

“It really was throbbing and hurting,” she explained. “I immediately went to my general practitioner, and she told me I had to immediately go get it looked at. But the problem was I just couldn’t get an appointment. Everything was booked. So I had to wait until the end of November to get it done. This journey’s been rough for me. This hasn’t been a breezy sale through life,” she continued. “I always read inspirational quotes and corny stuff, but it gets me through.”

Eggert — whose mother and father both battled cancer — also blamed the breast implants she got when she was 18 to look better on screen for her role as Summer Quinn on Baywatch in the early ’90s.

“If I didn’t have them and I had my smaller, natural breasts, I am sure I would have felt it much sooner,” she told Inside Edition.

“When I was on Baywatch, it was very in to be very thin with big boobs. I was the opposite, so I was wearing this red bathing suit that was flattening me, the one piece, it just, it was like … ‘Oh, man,’” Eggert explained. “There’s nothing you can do. You can’t stuff it.”

Eggert admitted getting the implants was a “huge mistake” and urged women to stay on top of their health.

“Do the self-exams, and don’t get those implants,” she said.
