Police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting last weekend in Rexdale.

Toronto Police said on Wednesday evening that Jasmit Badesha, 25, of Mission, B.C., was the man gunned down on Sunday at 11:37 p.m. near the parking lot of a residential building in the Bergamot Dr.-Rexdale Blvd. area.

Life-saving measures were performed on Badesha, police said, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Const. Shannon Eames was unable to offer a possible motive or other information about the case when contacted by the Sun on Wednesday night.
“We have no further details to provide at this time as it’s still being investigated,” Eames said in an email.
Police ask that any witnesses or anyone with video footage, including dashcam and home video surveillance, who can provide information on a suspect vehicle or occupants at the time of the shooting contact them at 416-808-7400.
