The European summer is here, which means travel season is well and truly upon us.
And whether you’re packing for a long-haul trip or a weekender, it’s best to be prepared.

First on her list was multiple travel adapters.
“I don’t know why so many people lug around so many different adapters, I just travel with the one international plug adapter as it works in more than 200 countries and regions,” she explained.
While a lot of people think travel-sized toiletries are a must, Nicola advises against them.
“Travel-sized toiletries are such a waste of money. Sure mini toiletries may be cute but I would rather save money and plastic by using refillable pouches with the toiletries I already have,” she said.
Nicola’s third item is a surprising one.
“Why do people go to currency exchange desks at airports to get ripped off for a bunch of cash they are probably never going to use?” she asked
“I barely even need cash when I am travelling but, if I do, I just get it out from a local ATM.”
The travel expert is also not a fan of bringing a towel along on her trips.
“Never ever have I travelled with a towel — 95 per cent of the time they are already provided to me, so they are a waste of space.”
Lastly, Nicola warns against travelling with a money belt as she said they make you a target for thieves.
“I know these are meant to keep your valuables safe but I am pretty sure you become more of a target when thieves see you rocking one of these,” she said.
Nicola’s video has more than 180,000 views, with many people praising her advice.
“This! I really don’t understand why people take towels!” one person agreed.
“Couldn’t agree more with everything you said. I do the same,” another person said.
“Having the one adapter is a game changer,” another traveller also agreed.
“Agree with this, except for the cash — there are still some places where cash dominates, plus it’s good to have it as a back-up if problems arise with your card,” someone else noted.
