“The Bunnings rave is confirmed and we have a location,” band member Adam Hyde said.

The rave will be held in the carpark of Melbourne’s Preston Bunnings on August 31.

“There’s gonna be a sausage sizzle, exclusive merch and face painting,” Hyde said.

“All the money made from sausage sales and tickets will be going to (Australian music industry charity) Support Act,” his partner Reuben Styles said.

“That’s why the lineup’s gonna have some of the best Aussie talent,” Hyde said.

Headliners Peking Duk will be joined by fellow Aussie artists What So Not and Sydney-based music producer and social media creator Kaila, who sparked the campaign for the rave on TikTok.

Hyde and Styles said they will be playing unreleased Peking Duk material at the rave.

The alcohol-free event is open to people older than 16 “because Bunnings is for everyone,” Styles said.

However, a separate “kick on” event will be held after the Bunnings rave.

Tickets will be limited to two per person, and the event will also be streamed live on social media.

Hardware giant Bunnings last month confirmed the rave would go ahead, saying it would “give the people what they want”.

“We have loved seeing all Aussie music lovers across the country share their enthusiasm for a Bunnings rave,” a spokesperson said.
