The Montreal Alouettes placed defensive back Reggie Stubblefield, wide receiver Tyler Snead and linebacker Tyrell Richards on the six-game injured list before Friday’s game against the Edmonton Elks.
All three players sustained their injuries in a season-opening 27-12 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last Thursday on the road.
The Alouettes announced Tuesday that Stubblefield is out for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. Stubblefield left the field on a cart with 35 seconds left in the third quarter and was on crutches with a brace around his right knee after the game.
The 25-year-old American had 38 defensive tackles, three sacks, two interceptions and one forced fumble in 13 games played for the Grey Cup champions last year.
Snead, out with a foot injury, totalled 788 receiving yards in 15 games as a rookie last year. Richards, drafted first overall in the 2022 CFL draft, has a leg injury.
Montreal receiver Reggie White Jr. was moved to the one-game injured list from the six-game list. He last played Oct. 10, 2022, due to a knee injury.
