Raise a glass, in the air.
Air Canada announced on Wednesday it will offer free beer and wine on flights within Canada and the U.S. until the end of the year.
The airline offered complimentary food and alcoholic beverages on its international flights but up until now that wasn’t offered on domestic flights.
Pretzels and cookies will also be complimentary. The pretzels are from Alberta’s family-owned and female-led TWIGZ, Air Canada said. Quebec-based Leclerc’s Celebration Cookie will be offered.
The free beer includes Hop Valley, Creemore Springs Premium Lager, Molson Canadian and Coors Light while the wine list includes red and white French wines from Paul Mas.

Spirits such as Baileys Original Irish Cream, Canadian Club rye, Bombay Sapphire gin, Smirnoff vodka, Campari and Tromba Tequila Blanco can be purchased for $5.

The complimentary food and drinks don’t extend to flights bound for the Caribbean and Mexico.
Porter Airlines chimed in on Wednesday with an X post.
“Air Canada has now joined Porter in offering free beer, wine and snacks to all passengers. Thanks for joining our mission to help everyone actually enjoy economy! What’s next, a racoon mascot?
Porter’s official mascot is a raccoon named ‘Mr. Porter.’
