Aerre brand behind cult fragrances shoppers love launches new scent to 46k waitlist

The fragrance brand behind a range of dupes for high-end scents has released its first very own fragrance to a massive 46,000-strong waitlist.

French perfumier Aerre Fragrance only launched as a brand in August 2023, but it was just weeks before it started making waves in the beauty community.

This was primarily thanks to its dupes for the likes of Le Labo Santal 33 and MFK’s Baccarat Rouge 540.

Today (February 9), Aerre have launched their own new Red Theory perfume ($39).

Released in honour of Valentine’s Day, the limited-edition scent features an intoxicating mix of mandarin and bergamot, followed by a deep heart of rose, orchid and jasmine, all warmed up by rich vanilla and calming cedarwood base.

According to Aerre, the perfume was named Red Theory after the increasingly-popular Red Nail Theory and Red Lip Theory.

The idea behind the Red Nail Theory and Red Lip Theory theorises that wearing the hue on your pout or nails will help you turn heads, boost your career, and generally take over the world.

This same idea has been translated to the perfume, and Aerre hope that when you wear this fragrance, you can get over any relationship or “situationship” that broke your heart.

This perfume is your good luck charm, a reminder you are powerful and desirable — and that this fragrance may succeed in getting more than one glance as you pass by,” product description reads.

And after the fragrance launched to the nearly 50,000-waitlist, it is quickly selling out.

Aerre Fragrances was launched by Stefan and Alec, with the aim of bringing luxury French fragrances to shoppers at a more affordable price point.

All of Aerre’s perfumes are produced in Provence, France, where many of the world’s leading perfumiers make their products.

But prices are much lower than other top-end fragrances, starting from just $29.

Aerre made its debut with a collection of 10 distinct fragrances that were carefully curated to appeal to a broad range of tastes.

Their product line includes unisex, feminine and masculine fragrances that capture the essence of well-known scents from the likes of Le Labo, Tom Ford, MFK Baccarat Rouge, YSL and Chanel.

Now, Aerre are taking on their own fragrance with Red Theory.
