“She said, ‘Yes,’” Lautman wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Wang’s ring while the couple held hands.
“Well, technically, she said, ‘…I don’t know who you are, yeah, sure!’ But we’ll attribute that to adrenaline, shock, surprise, and uncontrollable laughter from the proposal.
“Megan, every day with you is easy; filled with joy, laughter, happiness, and of course, plenty of cats. Looking forward to forever together!”

But what got the online world’s attention was how the actor proposed.
Wang shared to TikTok and Instagram a recording of a Lenovo ThinkPad commercial they acted in two years ago while watching TV.

“Why are they still airing this?” she said. “I have to record this because why are they still airing this?”
On Tiktok, Wang wrote she “accidentally recorded my own proposal” because she thought the commercial was being re-run and the company wasn’t going to pay her.
After the ad ended, it cut to a narrator asking Lautman if he had anything else to say.

While pretending to be unfamiliar with what was going on along, the narrator eventually encouraged Lautman to ask Wang the big question.
Then, through special effects, a ring box appeared in his hand.
The onscreen Lautman mimicked throwing the box to himself, and he stood up with the box in his hand.
“We met on this commercial, so I thought it would only make sense if we had an extended version that helped me ask you: Will you marry me?”

While Wang was initially speechless, Lautman pointed to the screen and jokingly said, “He’s waiting!”

“Yeah, sure,” Wang finally responded as the couple laughed.
On Instagram, Wang said their relationship “has been so easy because it’s right. You never get offended by my comments, instead you insult me back even better. You understand me and most importantly, you understand my cats. You’ve given them a dad they’ve always wanted. I can’t wait to have more cats with you.”

In recent months, the couple has joked with each other on social media.
In one post, Wang wishes Lautman a happy birthday alongside photos that featured her while she cropped out half of his face.
Lautman countered with a slideshow of the couple having “great times” in which he smiles for the camera while Wang appears disinterested.
