Congratulations are in order for Abby Champion and Patrick Schwarzenegger.
Today, the longtime couple announced their engagement via Instagram. They each shared a series of photographs from their beach proposal. The first was a close-up of them embracing on the beach, with Champion’s engagement ring front and center. Another showed them kissing in front of a heart made of roses. A final, more casual snap showed them smiling in front of a cake that read simply: “Congratulations.”
“Forever and ever,” they captioned the post, accompanied by heart and ring emojis.
The two began dating in September 2015, and quickly became one of Hollywood’s most stylish young couples. In 2022, the model and actor posed together for the December issue of Vogue at the then-new Lanserhof Sylt.

Along the way, Champion and Schwarzenegger have nurtured independent careers. Champion remains an in-demand model who, in addition to her work in Vogue, has starred in advertising campaigns for Chanel, Calvin Klein, and Miu Miu. Schwarzenegger, meanwhile, recently appeared in the critically acclaimed HBO Max mini-series The Staircase.
Schwarzenegger has spoken publicly about his admiration for his fiancée on multiple occasions. “I think the best part about having her by my side is that she’s always rooting for me and wanting the best for me and bringing out the best in me,” he previously told E! News. “I always say that in a relationship, you have to be each other’s biggest cheerleader. Build each other up. And she does that for me.”
