Three people injured in multi-vehicle collision in Berkshire Park, Sydney

Three people have been injured in a multi-vehicle collision on a major road in Sydney’s northwest that has caused traffic chaos for morning commuters.

Four cars collided on Richmond Rd, Berkshire Park just before 6am on Tuesday morning.

One woman was trapped in one of the vehicles and was freed by emergency services.

Paramedics are treated three people at the scene — two women in their 30s and a man.

The man suffered serious injuries, NSW Ambulance told 7NEWS.com.au, while the two woman suffered multiple injuries but were in a stable condition.

Two people were taken to Westmead Hospital. It’s unclear where the third person was taken.

Richmond Rd is closed between Llandilo Rd and St Marys Rd.

Heavy delays are building and motorists have been told to allow for extra travel time.

Alternative routes include Llandilo Rd, Second Ave, Eighth Ave, South Creek Rd, Whites Rd, Shane Park Rd, Story Creek Rd and St Mary’s Rd.
