Pedestrian killed, another hurt after crash in Toronto

A female pedestrian was killed and a male pedestrian was injured after two vehicles crashed Monday night in the Junction.

Toronto Police said in a post on X that two vehicles were involved in a collision on Monday at about 8 p.m. in the Annette St.-Pacific Ave. area. The crash then caused one of the vehicles to hit two pedestrians.

Const. Cindy Chung confirmed that the female pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, while the male pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

She said no other details were available and the investigation is ongoing.

Police asked commuters in the area to find alternate routes as several roads had been closed, including eastbound Annette at High Park Ave., westbound Annette at Pacific and northbound Pacific at Humberside Ave.

“Expect road closures and delays in the area while officers continue investigating,” police said on X.
