RCMP say Janelle Arnold, 35, of Bonnyville in northern Alberta came to their attention after a worried parent tipped them off.

The parent claimed Arnold was allegedly having inappropriate contact with a student. She allegedly sexually assaulted the student and then gave them cash to sweep the lurid incident under the carpet.

On Sept. 6, Arnold was arrested and charged with sexual assault and sexual interference. The second charge indicates the alleged victim was under the age of consent, which is 16 in Canada.

Arnold worked at the K-4  Duclos School in Bonnyville. The victim was not a student at the school.

The carnal capers allegedly unfolded while other students served as “lookouts.” The male victim’s father is also in hot water for condoning the taboo relationship.

Clifton-Carmack was arrested in January after the boy told a guidance counsellor about the relationship. He showed the shocked counsellor photos of the scratches the teacher left on his back.

The scratches were the result of the pair having sex in a witness’s driveway.

Now, she has pleaded guilty to sexual contact with a student that could result in a four-year sentence. The pleas allowed her to wiggle out of more serious statutory rape, child molestation and child endangerment charges.

She will be sentenced Oct. 11.

Clifton-Carmack is a divorced mother of two who previously raised eyebrows with school officials for being too close to her students. She wore tight leggings and low-cut shirts in class.

After cops confiscated her phone, they discovered a treasure trove of raunchy messages between teacher and student.

And then she went on the run just before Christmas. Cops caught up with her in Comal County, Texas, and charged her with first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree statutory rape, sexual contact with a student, and fourth-degree child molestation.

In Wisconsin, another embattled teacher who was accused of sexually assaulting her 11-year-old student is demanding that charges against her be tossed.

Lawyers for Madison Bergmann, 24, claimed the preteen boy’s text messages weren’t specific enough about how the pair allegedly touched each other. The judge torpedoed that gambit.

Bergmann gained notoriety when it emerged she was allegedly “making out” with the boy just weeks before her wedding day.

She has been ordered to stand trial for first-degree child sex assault, child enticement and sexual misconduct by a school staff member. Bergmann could face 178 years in the slammer if convicted on all charges.

In her twisted missives, Bergmann breathlessly told the boy she wanted to “lick” his abs and enjoyed touching his chest.

“The basis of this motion is that there’s not probable cause in the complaint, in one specific area,” her lawyer, Joseph Tamburino, told the court as per the New York Post, “and that’s the area of ‘sexual contact of intimate part.’”

He added: “Under Wisconsin statutes, there has to be touching of an intimate part in order for there to be sexual contact. What are those parts? The breast, buttocks, anus, groin, scrotum, penis, vagina, or pubic mound of a human being. The statute does not say it’s the ‘chest’ or the ‘chest area.’”

The judge retorted that it would be “absurd” for a child to use the same language as state legislatures.

Bergmann’s alleged abuse of the boy came to light after his mother heard the May-December duo talking on the phone. She checked the phone and discovered the raunchy texts.

For her part, Bergmann allegedly chirped about the pair numerous encounters inside the class, at lunch and after school. She added that she liked it when he touched her and “making out”.

Bergmann has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
