A Queensland police officer has died during a memorial motorcycle ride in the NSW Northern Tablelands.
The officer was participating in the Wall to Wall ride when the crash occurred on Wednesday afternoon.
The annual memorial ride pays tribute to fallen police officers, with riders from each state finishing their journey at the National Police Memorial in Canberra.

Sometime about 3.20pm an officer participating in the event was attempting to overtake another rider when he lost control on the Gwydir Hwy, about 20km east of Glenn Innes, and went down an embankment.
Members of the public administered CPR on the 58-year-old while waiting for paramedics however he died at the scene.
Queensland Premier Steven Miles said he was “devastated” to hear that an officer had died during the ride.
“My deepest condolences to family, friends and all members of the Queensland Police Service,” he said.
“Our thoughts are with you at this tough time.”
The Australian Federal Police Association (AFPA) said the accident was “terrible and tragic”.
“The AFPA encourages all participants in the ride to honour our lost blue family member and continue the journey,” they said.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
