UFC unveils Fight Night: Pereira vs. Hernandez card with added bouts

The UFC officially announced the main event plus 10 other matchups for its upcoming Fight Night event set to take place Oct. 19 at the UFC Apex.

Middleweights Anthony Hernandez and Michel Pereira are slated to headline. Hernandez is the No. 13-ranked contender in the division and Pereira has recently risen to No. 14.

Pereira has won eight in a row overall and is 3-0 since returning to the 185-pound division 11 months ago with all three of those wins lasting between 54 and 66 seconds.

Hernandez is riding a five-fight winning streak coming off a submission win over Roman Kopylov at UFC 298 in February.

The organization also announced No. 10 bantamweight contender Rob Font will face No. 11 ranked Kyler Phillips in a pivotal bout at 135 pounds, plus a flyweight matchup between No. 7-ranked contender at 125 pounds Matheus Nicolau taking on No. 14 Asu Almabayev.
