A man who was killed in an alleged domestic violence-related murder has been remembered by loved ones as a “gentle man with a generous soul”.
The body of Mark Myers, 62, was found by police inside a surfboard bag at a property in Darkwood, west of Coffs Harbour on the NSW Mid North Coast, on Thursday night.

Lisa Marie Cummings, 35, was charged with the murder on Saturday.
She faced Coffs Harbour Local Court on Monday, where she was accused of breaching her bail conditions by the alleged further offending.
NSW Police will allege the incident was domestic violence-related, and the pair were known to each other.
Myers’ friend, Jessica Greene, told 7NEWS he had the “biggest heart”.
“All of his neighbours around him all loved him, his family and his friends all loved him,” she said.
“He was just the man that you could always count on if you ever needed help.”
Gary Smith lives a few houses away from Nambucca Heads home.
He said he would not have expected an alleged murder in the area.
“He (Myers) just looked like a quiet, decent guy … looked after his yard and everything,” Smith said.
Meanwhile, Cummings did not make a further application for bail.
She is due back in court on October 15.
