Brampton man wants KFC to reconsider going halal in Ontario, eventually Canada
A Brampton resident has launched a Change.org petition urging KFC to reverse its decision to serve exclusively halal meat in Ontario before the plan expands to the rest of Canada by year’s end.
Roop Sandhu says the policy — which the company announced in a memo to franchisees in May for Ontario (except Thunder Bay and Ottawa) with a plan to roll it out nationwide by year’s end — dismisses the dietary preferences of religious communities which prohibit the consumption of halal meat, Jane Stevenson reported.

The switch to a menu that caters to Muslim dietary restrictions means KFC franchises will have to ensure that all chicken products are halal-certified and not sell products that include bacon, unless they are joint KFC-Taco Bell locations.
It would join other chicken chains like Popeyes and Mary Brown’s, which offer halal chicken at most of their locations.

WARMINGTON: Prayer service in busy downtown intersection not against the law
A Muslim mass prayer service shut down one of Canada’s busiest intersections earlier this month, but police said their hands were tied and couldn’t stop it from happening because no laws were violated.

Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna used to be a model, appearing in Sports Illustrated and Maxim.
She made sure to point that out after eight-year-old footage resurfaced online of her modelling a sizzling, MAGA-loving, red, white and blue swimsuit, Denette Wilford reported.
The 2016 video made the rounds online and instead of ignoring all the hullabaloo, the Republican congresswoman embraced it, and engaged with those who took issue with her sexy shots, even mocking transgender people.
“I’m confirming that I have indeed worn swimsuits and you can tell I am biologically a woman,” she posted on X with the hashtag “MAGA.”
She added in another snarky post: “I have a confession to make since the TikTok Democrats are onto me: I wear bikinis to the beach and mineral sunscreen.”
