The ATR-72 aircraft, operated by Voepass Linhas Aéreas, was on a flight from Cascavel in Paraná to Guarulhos in São Paulo. Local authorities and rescue teams confirmed the unfortunate incident.

All 62 individuals on board were confirmed deceased, stated AFP. The city government, involved in the recovery operation, communicated via email to AFP, “There were no survivors.”
