Harry considering UK return as Kate’s holiday plans revealed – Royal family news live

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle enjoy performance in Nigeria

Prince Harry is considering an imminent return to the UK “on one condition”, a friend has revealed.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, could attend the memorial service for his uncle Robert Fellows, who passed away at the age of 82 on 29 July.

However, because of the controversy surrounding the duke, who recently told ITV that the UK is not safe enough for Meghan Markle, he will only attend if there is not “too much drama.”

“He would want to be there. It will be a huge gathering of the Spencer clan,” a friend told the Daily Beast.

“[But] it may well be that everyone feels Harry’s attendance would just create too much drama.”

This comes as the royals begin their summer holiday at Balmoral.

King Charles and Queen Camilla have already travelled to Scotland and were joined yesterday by Princess Anne, who attended Edinburgh’s military tattoo.

The Wales family and their children will also attend, marking the furthest the Princess of Wales has travelled since being diagnosed with cancer.

Harry and Meghan using Archie and Lilibet as ‘bargaining chips’

“Charles believes Harry should let bygones be bygones for the sake of Archie and Lilibet, but he senses that access to the children is being used as a bargaining chip and that, in Charles’ view, is unforgivable,” royal author Tom Quinn told the Mirror.

This comes after Prince Harry said he will not bring Meghan Markle to the UK without having their taxpayer-funded security reinstated because he fears “an acid or knife attack”.

The Prince of Wales is expected to attend the exhibition, which will feature artworks by those who have experienced homelessness.

Prince Harry’s ex shares heartfelt tribute to late sister

Cressida Bonas was in a relationship with the Duke of Sussex, 39, for two years between 2012 and 2014 after they were introduced by Princess Eugenie.

The pair had an amicable split and Ms Bonas even attended Harry’s 2018 wedding to Meghan Markle.

Her sister, Pandora Cooper-Key, 51, has posthumously been credited with raising awareness of several types of cancer.

Ms Bonas wrote alongside a series of pictures of her with her sister: “I’ll look for you in the markets where we walked arm-in-arm. Amongst the ancient trees, I’ll talk and ask them where you are. I’ll find you in the expression of a Pekingese, in pots of honey, pretty hats and in the eyes of your two boys,” she wrote.

“I’ll hear you say things like, ‘I’m happy as a tick,’ and ‘I think you’re mad as a goose.’ I’ll search for your humor, even on the darkest days. When courage is needed, I’ll call for you, hoping you’ll come by. I’ll seek you in the mountains you fearlessly climbed and skied.”

William and Kate relationship confirmed during ‘never have I ever’

Kate Middleton and Prince William ‘s relationship was “unwittingly” revealed by William’s ex-girlfriend during a game of “Never Have I Ever”, a new biography has claimed.

Royal author Rob Jobson wrote that while the romance was initially “shrouded in secrecy” “a revealing moment occurred during a dinner party with friends attended by Carly Massy-Birch [William’s ex].”

This is a popular game that sees participants reveal the things they have and have not done, drinking to signal that they have done whatever has been said.

“Perhaps unwittingly, Carly exposed William’s secret love affair with Catherine, much to the prince’s chagrin,” Jobson explained.

Kate Middleton’s ‘very clear’ decision that showed her ‘courage’

The Princess of Wales has been praised for her “very clear” decision to parent her children in the way she sees fit as a member of the royal family.

Royal author Rob Jobson told Hello! magazine: “With her children, she made it very clear to both the late Queen and to the Prince of Wales, as he was – now the King – that she’s not going to be rushed into doing things that she doesn’t necessarily want to do.”

He added: “That takes quite a lot of courage, because you’re in a very alien world.”

Harry and Meghan’s latest trip to ‘cause difficulty’ for royals

Harry and Meghan’s latest trip is designed to “illuminate Colombia’s role as a beacon of culture and innovation.”

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun: “I think when you have former senior working members of the Royal Family do what the Royal Family would like to do, I do think it will create difficulties. Because the problem is that the Sussexes are so unpredictable.

“The problem with the Royal Family at the moment is that they are simply not able to do something which attracts attention on the same level – and attention is important if you’re royal.”

Art exhibition supported by Prince William offers new perspective on homelessness

The new exhibition, which the heir to the throne will visit, will open at the Saatchi Gallery in London today (7 August), and it is hoped it will shed new light on what life on the streets is really like.

Mick Clarke, chief executive of homelessness charity The Passage, said: “What I love about the Reframed exhibition is this gives an opportunity again to put a spotlight on how we’ve got to get homelessness away from something society thinks is inevitable and something that we manage, to something that can be prevented from happening.”

In a bid to eradicate homelessness, the Prince of Wales created the Homewards project.
