Manhunt for three men after man left fighting for life after high-speed Sydney crash

A man is fighting for life after being taken to hospital in a critical condition following a crash on one of Sydney’s busiest roads in Padstow, in the city’s southwest.

The crash has sparked a manhunt for three men after it was alleged a stolen white Audi was seen driving at high-speed down Davies Road at 10.40pm on Sunday before colliding with a Nissan.

On Monday, Sunrise reporter Liam Tapper spoke about the incident.

“Police believe he (the Nissan driver is) the victim of this-speed crash that happened on Davies Road here in Padstow — It’s one of the busiest roads that connects the south of Sydney through to the M5,” Tapper said.

“This was around 10.40pm (Sunday), that a man driving the Nissan car was pulling onto the road. An Audi has been seen flying south-ward and has allegedly collected that car. The Audi burst into flames and three men were seen running the scene.”

Tapper said the three men were still at large and police wished to speak to them in relation to the crash.

“The driver of the Nissan, he’s fighting for life right now,” he said.

“He was taken in a critical condition to St George Hospital, where he is right now.

“Police are urging anyone who has any information or witnessed anything to come forward immediately.”
