A firefighter has been taken to hospital after suffering an electrical shock while working on Sydney’s new Metro Rail Line.
The man suffered the minor shock just before 4pm on Thursday, NSW Ambulance told 7NEWS.com.au.
Paramedics rushed to Barangaroo station, where the man was working on the Metro Line.

The man was shocked while opening a train door during a safety drill.
“Consistent with exercise protocols, the exercise was immediately suspended, with the participant checked by first aid,” a Sydney Metro spokesperson said.
“NSW Ambulance attended as a safety precaution, and consistent with FRNSW protocols, the participant will be monitored for safety.
“An investigation into the incident is underway.”
The man was treated at the scene before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital.
