Brazilian swimmer Ana Carolina Vieira was ordered to leave Paris immediately after she was busted for sneaking out of the Olympic village with her boyfriend.
Vieira’s boyfriend, Gabriel Santos, is also a Brazilian swimmer but he only received a warning for what the country’s head of swimming called “acts of indiscipline”.
The couple snuck out of the village to enjoy the Paris nightlife without any official clearance.

They were busted, however, when they posted some photos of the misadventure on social media.
Vieira, 22, was a member of the 4x100m freestyle team that finished 12th in their heats and failed to make the final.
According to the Brazilian Olympic Committee, she had “aggressively” challenged the formation of the team.
“The athlete Ana Carolina, in a disrespectful and aggressive manner, contested a technical decision made by the Brazilian National Swimming Team committee,” the BOC said.
“As a result, Gabriel Santos was given a warning and Ana Carolina Vieira was dismissed from the delegation. She will return to Brazil immediately.”
Vieira has since taken to social media to defend herself.
She said there was no misconduct and, while not giving any detail, also said she had made a report of harassment within the team.
She also claimed that she was isolated when she was removed from the Brazilian delegation and she was now being advised by lawyers.
“I was unable to contact anyone when I left the room when they announced that I was out due to misconduct,” she said.
“Thank God I will prove that I did not commit any misconduct.’
She said she was taken to the airport in shorts and was not allowed to have contact with anyone.
“I’m helpless,” she said.
Brazil’s swimming team leader Gustavo Otsuka said the team was not in Paris for a “vacation”.
“We’re here working for Brazil, for the 200 million taxpayers who are working for us,” he said.
“We can’t play around here. She took a completely inappropriate position to make her point, her dismay, about the formation of the relay.
“It was during this period that we decided to take this situation to the disciplinary committee, discussed it and took the appropriate action. We ended up finding out through the posts,” he said.
