Looks like Hollywood method dressing isn’t over just yet! Tonight, at the New York City premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine, Blake Lively paid homage to the iconic red Deadpool suit worn by her husband Ryan Reynolds throughout the popular franchise. Though, for this latest installment, the skintight action suit was less Marvel anti-hero—more bonafide fashion star.
Lively’s red catsuit was courtesy of Atelier Versace, which is one of her most-worn labels on the red carpet. (See: many of her Met Gala looks.) The off-the-shoulder silhouette—made from a red-coated, latex-like material and featuring a boned, embroidered bodice—was inspired by the catsuits in Versace’s fall 2024 collection.

The red carpet look may be an easter egg of sorts. Rumors are currently swirling that the actor will make an appearance as Lady Deadpool in the new film, so perhaps this fashion choice was confirmation of that cameo. Or, maybe she was simply celebrating her man, and using the moment to flex a thematic look. Either way, we’d love to see Lively slay some bad guys in this getup. Especially if she did so alongside her best friend, Gigi Hadid. Can you say fierce?
