Man charged over alleged armed robbery at Hungry Jack’s in Engadine, Sydney

A man has threatened staff at a Hungry Jack’s restaurant with a replica firearm during an alleged armed robbery in Sydney’s south

The 23-year-old man attended the fast food restaurant on the Princes Hwy at Engadine about 7pm on Friday.

Police were told he demanded food before allegedly threatening staff with a gun.

The man was arrested by police, who allegedly found a home-made item in the shape of a handgun.

He was charged with robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon and breach of bail.

The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Saturday.
