Teenage girl approached by man at Evans Head, NSW

Police are searching for a man who allegedly inappropriately touched a girl in a popular tourist town on the NSW north coast.

The 14-year-old girl was allegedly approached by a man who “touched her leg” before walking away at the Evans River foreshore at Elm St in Evans Head about 2pm Wednesday, police said.

The beachside town is popular among visitors and located south of Ballina.

Richmond Police are investigating the incident and asking anyone who was in the area about 2pm and may have dashcam or CCTV video to come forward.

The man is described as of Asian appearance, aged between 20 and 30 years old, about 170cm tall, medium build, with black hair and acne scars.

Police said he was wearing a T-shirt and black shorts.
