Why you should always shop at Woolworths with a basket in your trolley

A popular social media star has shared her “genius” trolley hack during a recent trip to Woolworths.

Sharing on TikTok, user @Fidan_Tok — a lawyer, author and mum well-known for her shopping videos — revealed she places one of the supermarket’s hand baskets inside the trolley before starting her shop.

The trick meant that she can keep fruit and vegetables separate in her trolley, and stop them being squashed by heavier items.

Given that Woolworths has its fresh produce section at the entrance of each store, it means that many people gather these items first.

But after then gathering more items throughout the store, it can mean the delicate items can get damaged — unless they’re kept separated using the basket.

“Sunday night grocery shop, we’re at Woolworths,” the TikTok user said in a recent video.

“Basket, trolley — basket in trolley.

“We’re not starting with fruit and veg because then it’s all gonna get squashed.

“We’re starting at the very end — aisle 13.”

The simple trick left some users stumped.

“What’s the basket inside the trolley hack?” said one.

Another said: “Basket in the trolley? I don’t get it.”

But others were blown away.

One Facebook user shared the video said: “Just watched this, such a good idea to have a basket in your trolley. Keeps your delicate items separate and you can move it around if need be.”

Another added: “Why have I never thought to do this? Genius.”

A third wrote: “Am doing this now. Thanks!”
