Around four mutual fund houses had cash allocations of more than Rs 10,000 crore in their portfolio as of May 2024. Here is the break-up, according to data from ACE MF.

The largest fund house had a cash allocation of Rs 27,070 crore in their portfolio as of May 2024. This allocation was 4.52% of the total AUM. The equity AUM of the fund house was Rs 5.72 lakh crore.

ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund

ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund

The fund house had a cash holding of Rs 20,552 crore in their portfolio as of May 2024. This allocation was 6.37% of the total AUM. The equity AUM was Rs 3.02 lakh crore.

HDFC Mutual Fund
The fund house had Rs 20,377 crore cash in its portfolio as of May 2024. This was 6.50% of the total AUM. The equity AUM of Rs 2.93 lakh crore.

PPFAS Mutual Fund
The total cash allocation by the fund house was Rs 10,641 crore as of May 2024. This was 15.24% of the total AUM. The equity AUM was Rs 59,196 crore.

Other fund houses
The other 38 mutual fund houses in the MF industry had cash allocation between Rs 5.09 crore to Rs 9,355 crore as of May 2024.
