The actor admitted he loathed just the “idea” of the month.
“I detest it. The mere idea of it,” he told Variety in an interview published on Saturday.
“You are going to give me the shortest month in a year? And you are going to celebrate my history?,” he asked incredulously.
“This whole idea makes my teeth itch,” Freeman continued. “It’s not right.”
The Oscar winner continued: “My history is American history. It’s the one thing in this world I am interested in, beyond making money, having a good time and getting enough sleep.”

Freeman serves as the executive producer for the film.
