Halton Regional Police say on June 13, officers with the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit arrested Magdy Ibrahim, of Mississauga, on charges of sexual assault and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.
Police say at the time of his arrest, Ibrahim was in breach of multiple release orders with conditions to reside with his surety at a Mississauga residence.
The conditions stem from similar charges in other jurisdictions.
Police say Ibrahim was being sought more recently in a June 3 incident on a GO Train westbound from Toronto to Oakville.
It’s alleged a female was riding the GO train when she noticed a man intently watched her around 12:15 a.m. on June 3.
The man allegedly repositioned himself closer to her multiple times, and when she attempted to exit the train at Bronte Station, he grabbed her and a brief struggle ensued before the female broke free and departed.
