(NewsNation) — Tayvia Woodfork went to a Golden Corral in North Little Rock, Arkansas, on May 4, and left the mother of a child she didn’t know she was pregnant with.
Woodfork and her family were seated at the restaurant when she began experiencing extreme stomach pain, her mother told Today.
Unable to make it to the hospital as the pain worsened, Woodfork’s family called 911. No one knew the woman was 37 weeks pregnant, but when paramedics arrived Woodfork gave birth to a Tamaar Kylon Corral Woodfork — a healthy baby boy weighing 6 pounds, 1 ounce, People.com reported.
“When we walked out, everybody was clapping and people were lined up to see,” Tameka told Today.
Before then, Woodfork said she had no symptoms. The restaurant congratulated the new mother with a gift box of baby essentials and a gift card, according to People.
