Pittsburgh Pirates rookie sensation Paul Skenes had another gem on Tuesday night, pitching into the seventh inning of their 2-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.
He didn’t allow a run or walk a batter, and he pitched his way out of two jams and struck out eight more batters to bring his total to 46 strikeouts on the season in just 33.1 innings. All of that lowered his ERA to 2.43 for the season as he continues to further establish himself as one of the best and most dominant starting pitchers in baseball.
Like his previous five starts entering play on Tuesday, he also delivered some absolutely nasty pitches to Cardinals hitters.
Here are four of the nastiest.
There was this breaking ball in the first inning that just had comical movement and produced an absolutely terrible swing from Alec Burleson.
