A Toronto restaurant called out actor Zachary Quinto for yelling at staff like an “entitled child” and told him to never return.

Quinto, best known for playing Spock in three Star Trek movies, is in Toronto filming a new NBC medical show called Dr. Wolf. The actor had been waiting for a table at Ossington hotspot Manita but when the actor failed to reply to messages from the “Mediterranean-ish bistro,” they moved on to the next guest.
That apparently did not sit well with Quinto, who showed up at the restaurant but was no longer able to be seated.
“Yelled at our staff like an entitled child after he didn’t reply to two texts to inform him his table was ready and refused to believe the empty tables in the dining room weren’t available for him despite being politely informed they were spoken for,” Manita shared on their Instagram Stories on Sunday.
“Made our host cry and the rest of our brunch diners uncomfortable,” the eatery’s message continued.
“Mr. Quinto, take your bad vibes somewhere else, we have many lovely celebrities join us at Manita but you are NOT one of them.”
In a follow-up message to Instagram, Manita expanded on Sunday’s story.

“This isn’t the first time, nor will it be the last time an irate guest has taken their frustrations out on our staff,” they wrote.
“Manita is deeply grateful for our mostly incredible, friendly, gracious guests … who may give us constructive feedback from time to time,” they added.
“To all the other Zachary Quintos out there, on behalf of restaurant workers everywhere: We aren’t above criticism, but we are above being demeaned.”
The comments were, for the most part, supportive of the restaurant’s choice as many slammed Quinto’s alleged behaviour.
“Good for you! No one should treat staff with disrespect,” one person wrote, while another added, “Being a ‘celebrity’ shouldn’t strip you of your basic manners and how to treat other human beings.”
Quinto celebrated his 47th birthday on Sunday, and shared photos and videos of his celebrations in his Instagram Stories, including a visit to Canada’s Wonderland where he rode Drop Tower, as well as himself posing with a birthday cake inside an unidentified restaurant.
