Saturday Night Live star Chloe Fineman is clapping back at critics who made fun of her outfit she wore to the Cannes premiere of Megalopolis this week.
Fineman, 35, was spotted on the red carpet at the French film festival on Thursday sporting a strapless red dress by Celine. The pics were shared by Check the Tag’s Instagram account where commenters quickly lambasted her look, which was pulled together by celebrity stylist Yael Quint and makeup artist Lisa Aharon.

“These picture are weird. Her head looks too big for her body or something,” one user wrote, with another adding, “She’s a very beautiful woman, but this makes her look like a bobble head.”
“Chloe is gorgeous and hilarious. This dress, though, is swallowing her up,” a third person wrote.

With over a thousand people weighing in, Fineman sounded off on the criticism with a response of her own, writing, “No need to be so mean! Thank you ❤️.”
Before her look went viral, Fineman wrote a first-person essay for Elle documenting her first Cannes experience to promote Francis Ford Coppola’s new film telling readers this is “the best I’ve ever looked” calling her gown “the most gorgeous Celine couture dress in existence.”
Fineman also shared a note from the dress’ designer to her Instagram Stories.
“Dear Chloe, Welcome to Cannes!” the card read. “We are so happy to see you wearing CELINE in Cannes. Wishing you a lovely Cannes Film Festival. Warm wishes, the CELINE team.”
Fineman was cheered on by a number of supportive fans, who thanked her for standing up to the online bullies.

,” one fan wrote, with a second adding, “You’re the one at Cannes – no need to worry about loser opinions.”

Fineman was at the film festival to promote her role in Coppola’s latest film, which is a lifelong passion project for the director and follows an architect (Adam Driver) who has a grand vision of a more harmonious metropolis,
After its premiere, reviews ranged from “a folly of gargantuan proportions” to “the craziest thing I’ve ever seen.”
