Sydney Sweeney is, as of this very moment, one of the world’s most famous blondes. We’ve seen her play with the length of her hair (within the span of a few inches, at least), but it wasn’t until the 2024 Met Gala that the star decided to mess with the color. And the cut … and the bangs.
Sweeney showed up to her third Met Gala in a Miu Miu gown, complete with falling floral details that pair beautifully with the night’s “Garden of Time” theme. The dress, while radiant, fits with what we’ve come to know of Sweeney’s fashion oeuvre. But the jet black bob and blunt bangs — and the latex gloves to match—hint at a whole new, bolder, and dare we say more badass side to the star.
Stylist Glen Oropeza confirms that the look is a wig, situated in place and styled for the night with Kerastase products. He created the flat, wavy texture with a flat iron “rotated back and forth”, then used his fingertips to apply Kerastase Elixir Ultime Original Oil for shine and Kerastase Laque Extreme hair spray to “lock waves in place”.
