Brady has a bone to pick with ‘selfish’ younger generation of players

While Tom Brady may not be opposed to making an NFL return, the legendary quarterback has a few things he’d like to get off his chest.

The legendary quarterback, who won seven Super Bowl titles over 23 seasons, sat down for a trim with barber Victor Fontanez — known on social media as Vic Blends — earlier this month to chat about his early life and football career.

One topic lit a fuse under the future Football Hall of Famer: The gap he sees between the priorities of his generation and of younger players.

“I think the biggest problem with a lot of f***ing kids these days, it’s all about them,” Brady said. “Their brand, their social media. When it’s about ‘me’ and then not about ‘us,’ well there’s no way to succeed as a team if all you’re doing is thinking how selfish it is for you to get the attention.”

Fontanez replied that it was “cool to show the world how great you are, but the most inspiring thing is how great you can make others.”

“That’s the point of life,” Brady said in agreement. “Is what we could do — How do you help other people finish the race?”

Meanwhile, fans of Brady were left irate after having their memorabilia signed by the retired QB at a recent motivational conference in Miami.

According to a sports memorabilia news site, attendee paid $3,600 for a ticket to the speech that included a photo with Brady and a signed item.

Brad Jarrett, a Brady memorabilia collector, complained to the superstar about the poor signature on a ticket to the 2000 NFL Draft, where Brady was picked in the sixth round.

“I saw the items you signed for us,” Jarrett told Brady, according to cllct.com. “I’m disappointed with the signatures. We paid a lot of money, and it’s not right.”

According to the report, Brady’s signature regularly features a flowing “T” and “B” but fan instead received illegible scribbles.

A Miami man who once collected autographs said he helped out with the signings.

“When it was done, I peeked in the back room and looked at everything and said ‘Holy f***,’” Salomon Lutwak said. “It looked like they were all signed by Tim Allen, not Tom Brady.”
