Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend has pleaded with Taylor Swift fans to leave her alone.
Kayla Nicole took to social media to say she was being subjected to constant trolling and “vitriol” and was fed up.

“I’m unproblematic. Mind my business. Never respond to the constant vitriol,” she wrote on X.
“Solid as they come & don’t expect a pat on the back for it either.
“Just know everyone has a breaking point and would love for y’all (because you know exactly who you are) to leave me alone.”
Although Nicole did not specifically name Taylor Swift fans, the statement has been interpreted as being directed at them.
Kelce dated Nicole from 2017 through to early 2022.
Then Kelce was single until he debuted his relationship with Swift last year.
Since then, Nicole said she had been constantly trolled by Swift fans.
On Instagram, she said she had copped “backlash” after her breakup with Kelce and had started going to therapy to work through her feelings.
“I went through this major breakup, major life change, and I had lost a substantial amount of weight within a very short amount of time. I wasn’t sleeping, I wasn’t eating,” she told People last year.
“I was really abusing melatonin to sleep at night.
“So, I started going to therapy and quickly realised, OK, it’s one thing to be physically fit, but it’s another thing to be mentally fit.
“You could be in the best shape of your life, but mentally, if you are not a healthy person, it’s not going to feel good.”
Nicole is a sports reporter and social media content creator with her own YouTube channel and fitness brand.
She and Kelce met a year after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s reality dating show, Catching Kelce, aired on TV.
They made their red carpet debut at the ESPY Awards in July 2018.
After their split, Kelce said he was “in the free market right now”.
“I’m out there just enjoying life, focused on my profession,” he told The Pivot podcast in January 2023.
But by the end of the year, his name would be on the lips of millions of Swifties who had probably never watched a game of NFL before.
He was thrust into a much wider and bigger spotlight — and as Swifties began digging into his past to find out more about him, they learned about his previous girlfriend, too.
Nicole has claimed that social media users have left comments on her Instagram posts about her race, but had also experienced trolling from black men who were angry that she had been dating a white man.
When asked by People in October 2023 what advice she would have given herself a year ago her response was telling.
“Buckle the f*** up, sweetie,” she answered.
“You thought the worst had already come, but buckle up and take all of the tools right now and put them in your bag because you’re going to need them.”
After her latest plea to be left alone via her X message, fans flocked to send her supportive messages.
“To all the Swifties who come to Kayla’s page to hate — you embarrass your idol and also the few normal people that do like TSwift (me) by being the stereotype of jealous, insecure, juvenile mean girls who are also borderline racist any time they address a black person,” one follower wrote.
“Sorry lovely. You’re gorgeous and talented and should be recognised for that,” said another.
“I’m a Swiftie, but hate that you’re caught up in that. It’s not cool.”
“As a lifelong Swiftie and a big fan of yours, I feel like I need to apologise on their behalf for how disgusting they are to you,” said a third.
“You don’t deserve it at all and please know there are some of us who also love and respect you and wish they would just leave you alone.”
Another simply wrote: “Hang in there, Kayla.”
