Tribe Skincare offers loyal customers free gifts and a $3,000 giveaway for April

Australian dynamic beauty brand Tribe Skincare is launching a month-long celebration for those with sensitive skin types, and giving back to its loyal customer base.

The business, launched in 2017, was founded by skin specialist Kayla Houlihan, who noticed the huge gap in the market for skincare that was all-natural and gentle on sensitive skin but still “active” and able to achieve salon-quality results.

There will be weekly online offers, free gifts, social competitions and an in-person treasure hunt with $3,000 worth of cash and prizes to be won.

All information will be shared to social media well before this date.

Kayla was saving for a house when she convinced her now-husband to gamble the $40,000 they had saved up for a deposit on her brand idea.

Seven years after launching in 2017, Tribe Skincare has a loyal following of beauty lovers, who swear by the product’s ability to “dissolve” blackheads and clear troubled skin.

One of the brand’s hero products is the viral Brightening Vitamin C Serum ($68), which launched in 2022 and has since sold out three times.

The product — which promises “bright, bouncy and glowing skin” — has attracted glowing reviews.

And it has been described as “my number one skincare pick”, the “best thing for pigmentation” and “liquid gold” for tired women.

“The range combines super gentle, anti-inflammatory ingredients with active ingredients that change your skin,” Kayla previously told Best Picks previously.

“By creating a hybrid skincare range, people with sensitive skin can still get incredible results, without the reaction.”

Kerryn used the brightening serum for eight weeks, with Kayla taking before and after images of her mum.

“Mum was really impressed by her results,” Kayla says. “She could really see that her skin tone was so bright and more even.”

She shared her mum’s before and after snaps, which show Kerryn’s pigmentation notably reduced.

Kayla launched Tribe Skincare after she had spent years working as a beauty therapist.

She knew her clients wanted “active” products to help achieve great results, and she couldn’t help but notice that those with sensitive skin would suffer from reactions and be left feeling frustrated at their lack of options.

“I was busy searching for a skincare brand for our clients to use that was suitable for sensitive skin, but still achieved great results,” Kayla said.

“That’s when I realised what I was looking for didn’t exist.

“If I wanted to help people with sensitive skin achieve amazing results with their skincare, I was going to have to create something truly unique.”

Within her first year of launching, Kayla had turned over one million dollars and, two years later, she bought her dream home.

Kayla credits the success of Tribe Skincare to the effectiveness of some of the first products in the range, notably the Ultimate Hydrating Moisturiser ($44), which has close to 500 glowing reviews, and the Clearing Anti-Breakout Serum ($65), which promises to work wonders with pimples and your complexion.

“This is a miracle product!” one woman wrote of the Anti-Breakout Serum.

“10/10 recommend this! Haven’t had any other product be able to help clear up my skin and pores on my nose and chin. Couldn’t believe how well it works on blackheads and pimples!”

All Tribe Skincare products use natural ingredients like rosehip, aloe vera and zinc — meaning those with sensitive skin can get a luminous look without having to use any harsh nasty ingredients on their skin.

They also use no artificial fragrances or perfumes, and instead pack the products full of hydrating, barrier-protecting ingredients.
