A 16-year-old Brampton boy is accused of a gunpoint carjacking involving a Ferrari.

Peel Regional Police said the victims were standing in their driveway on Thursday in the Countryside Dr.-Airport Rd. area when they were confronted by someone armed with a handgun, along with two other people.

Police said the suspects demanded money, cellphones and all the keys to the victim’s vehicle, a white 2018 Ferrari Spider.
Cops said the phones and keys were handed over and the accused got into the 2018 Ferrari and drove away while the two unknown suspects fled on foot, leaving behind another stolen vehicle they arrived in.
A short time later, investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau, with help from the York Regional Police hold-up squad, located the stolen vehicle in the Finch Ave. E.-Neilson Rd. area of Scarborough, where the accused was taken into custody.

A Glock 9mm handgun was located during the arrest along with the keys to the victim’s vehicle.

The accused was charged with robbery with a firearm, wear disguise with intent to commit a criminal act, possession of property obtained by crime, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded, prohibited or restricted firearm, and possession of a prohibited weapon, device or ammunition that its possession is unauthorized.
The teen can’t be named as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
