Popular tennis commentator Jelena Dokic needed medical attention at the Australian Grand Prix after being hit by a rock during a Formula One practice session.
The former world No.4 was watching Friday’s action from the Mercedes hospitality suite outside turn 10 when Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso ran wide and into the gravel.
The Spaniard sent rocks and dust flying into the air, with Dokic unable to avoid being struck from her vantage point.

“When you go to the Formula One weekend and a car going off track happens right in front of you, literally, and all the rock debris flies right into your eye,” Dokic wrote.
“Had to get treated for it but all good. Just a bloodshot and scratched eye.”
Dokic said she was treated by a paramedic in the Mercedes lounge.
“Amazing and quick work. Thank you all that took care of me,” she added.
“I am all good. Ready to watch some more F1.
“Oh and I can confirm that the makeup somehow stayed and didn’t come off. Amazing.”
Alonso’s Aston Martin team left a message of support on her post.
“We’re sorry to see this, Jelena,” the official account wrote.
“Sending our best wishes and we hope you make a smooth and speedy recovery.”
One fan wrote: “Ouch! The F2s crashed right in front of me today and we were all showered with rocks and I did think that could take out an eye! Glad you’re OK!”
