A 26-year-old Whitby man has been charged with impaired driving following a three-vehicle crash.

Durham Regional Police said officers were called on Sunday at 4:10 a.m. to a collision in the Stevenson Rd.-Bond St. area in Oshawa.

Police said the suspect vehicle was driving northbound on Stevenson Rd. when it crossed the centre median into oncoming traffic, striking a southbound vehicle head-on.
The suspect vehicle also struck a second southbound vehicle.
Police said he driver of the suspect vehicle showed signs of alcohol impairment.

He was taken into custody and transported to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Parties from the other vehicles were also taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Chinedu Osita-Adubasim, 26, of Whitby, was charged with two counts of operation while impaired cause bodily harm, two counts of operation while impaired – exceed, driving while under suspension, G1 licence holder unaccompanied by qualified driver, drive motor vehicle not equipped with ignition interlock, and care or control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available.
