A man has been arrested just metres from where another man’s body was found on a road in a suspected hit-and-run in Sydney’s southwest.
The victim, aged in his 30s, was found with serious injuries at the intersection of Pritchard St and Hemphill Ave, Mount Pritchard about 3am on Wednesday.

Paramedics rushed to the intersection, however, the man was already deceased when they arrived.
Police said the man had suffered “significant” injuries to his torso and head.
7NEWS understands CCTV footage later led police to a residence on the same street where the body was found.
A 55-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Fairfield police station for questioning.
It’s understood detectives had earlier spoken with the man, asking to review his security video but he claimed it didn’t work.
Forensic crews continue to comb the scene and the man’s driveway for evidence.
Inspector Benjamin McIntyre earlier on Wednesday said officers believed the incident was a hit-and-run.
“We’re working on the theory that he was hit by a motor vehicle and that motor vehicle has failed to stop,” he said on Wednesday morning.
It is not yet clear how long the man’s body was on the road before it was found.
The man has since been identified as a 31-year-old from Auburn.
Police have shut down the street as investigations continue.
“Following inquiries, police seized a Lexus sedan at a home nearby for forensic examination,” NSW Police said in an update.
