Saltburn star Barry Keoghan likes to stand out from the crowd and do things differently.
That was made extra clear when the Irish actor was the only star to appear nude in a video shoot for Vanity Fair’s 30th Annual Hollywood Issue.

Keoghan has risen to fame on the back of his performance as Oliver Quick in the much-talked-about film Saltburn, where his character’s obsession with rich university student Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi) takes on some interesting forms (drinking dirty bathwater, anyone?)
And the final scene of the film, which shows Keoghan dancing naked to Sophie Ellis Bextor’s 2001 hit Murder on the Dancefloor, was so epic that it thrust the song back into the charts more than 20 years later.
Clearly, the Irish actor is comfortable getting his gear off.
But his cheeky — in more than one sense of the word — appearance in the Vanity Fair video has still managed to break the internet, with fans going wild over his au naturel appearance.
Keoghan clearly loved the moment, posting the video to Instagram.
In it, he frolicks nude while other stars, including Bradley Cooper, Natalie Portman, Jenna Ortega and Jodie Comer, are all dressed up in more traditional, glamorous Hollywood style.
“VANITY FAIR The 30th Annual Hollywood Issue … Havin the’Craic ☘️🇮🇪😂🐺,” he captioned the video.
“Having the craic,” of course, is Irish slang for having fun or having a good time.
“The person who came up with this idea deserves a raise,” one fan enthused.
“Nobody should be shocked or surprised by this after the Murder on the Dancefloor scene😭😭 he slayed this,” said another.
“Ok this entire thing was brilliant but you take the cake 🍰,” noted a third.
In a follow-up post, Keoghan posted a stills photo from The Hollywood Issue, but this time he is wearing a suit.
“Thank you VANITY FAIR,” Keoghan captioned this photo.
“F***in’ company I share this cover with ❤️🫶.”
“He found his clothes, I see,” one fan joked.
“You were made for the camera Barry — you just know how to work it ❤️,” gushed another.
“Didn’t recognise you with your clothes on!” added a third.
Others were pleased to see the rising star in the company of such great talent, which also included Killers of the Flower Moon actress Lily Gladstone and The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal.
“KING 🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏👏 You deserve all of the success,” wrote one follower.
“If there was ever a picture to say I made this is it 🔥 @keoghan92,” noted another.
However, not everyone was a fan.
Reactions were more mixed on X (formerly Twitter), with one observer joking: “I’ve seen Barry Keoghan’s butt cheeks more than I have seen my father.”
“Someone give Barry Keoghan his knickers and clothes back! Now!” wrote another.
Others were less bothered.
“Barry said ‘let’s break the internet!’,” wrote one fan.
‘Felt totally right’
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about his oft-discussed full frontal nude dance scene in Saltburn, Keoghan said “it felt totally right” to do.
“It was fun,” he said.
“The initial thing was about me having no clothes on (and) I’m a bit, ‘ehhhh’.
“But after take one, I was ready to go.
“I was like, ‘Let’s go again, let’s go again’.
“You kind of forget, because there’s such a comfortable environment create, and it gives you that licence to go, ‘All right, this is about the story now’.”
But Keoghan’s nude scene has made waves for the wrong reasons, too.
Earlier this week, a red carpet reporter at the BAFTAs was criticised after asking several celebrities, including Sophie Ellis-Bextor and actor Andrew Scott, about the size of Keoghan’s family jewels and whether he had used prosthetics for the much-talked-about scene.
Unimpressed, Scott cut the questioning short and walked out on the interview.
Meanwhile, after news that Keoghan had recently split from girlfriend Alyson Kierans, rumours have emerged that he is now dating Sabrina Carpenter.
The songstress is currently in Australia as the support act for none other than Taylor Swift.
Before Carpenter headed Down Under with Swift for The Eras tour, she was spotted having a so-called “date night” with Keoghan in Los Angeles.
