The non-profit People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has blasted the world’s famous power couple for visiting the Sydney Zoo while Swift is in Australia for three concerts.

The pop star and the Super Bowl-winning football player visited the zoo on Thursday and were given a private tour of the facility, according to news outlet news.com.au. During the zoo tour, the couple was even spotted interacting with a baby kangaroo.
This didn’t sit too well with Debbie Metzler, PETA Foundation’s Director of Captive Animal Welfare, who felt Swift and Kelce could’ve gone somewhere else.
“While we understand all too well the appeal of seeing Australia’s wildlife, PETA hopes that next time Taylor and Travis want to see wild animals, they’ll spend their time and money at a true sanctuary,” Metzler said in a statement, per Daily Mail.

Metzler added a sanctuary is a better choice because visitors are kept at a respectful distance from animals and they can’t feed or touch them.
Kelce reportedly hopped on a private jet to join his girlfriend in Sydney, much like how Swift flew back to the United States from her world tour to watch her beau and the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl.
