Auden was presenting the weather report when he decided to have a little fun with Australia’s current Taylor Swift mania.
He managed to pack more than 50 Swift song titles into his report, while still managing to give a full — and definitely more colourful — description of the country’s weather forecast.
Posting the hilarious moment to Instagram, he wrote: “Anyone getting sick of these Taylor Swift references everywhere?”
“Well, you’ve come to the wrong place!!!” he added.
“Here’s my forecast, with just a few @taylorswift ‘Easter Eggs’ in there …
“And thanks to (news presenter) Samantha Heathwood for playing along!”
The video itemises every single reference Auden makes to a Taylor Swift song in a matter of minutes, clocking in at an impressive 51, with Heathwood adding in another couple.
Some of the titles Auden manages to get into his report include New Romantics, Bigger Than The Whole Sky, Afterglow, Back to December, Blank Space, Come In With The Rain and The Very First Night.
Other songs he manages to slip in include Cardigan, Hits Different, Cold As You, Out of the Woods, The Best Day, Call It What You Want, Shake It Off and Midnight Rain.
Followers went wild for the entertaining segment, as seen in the video player above.
“Hahaha this is brilliant!!!” one fan enthused.
“So good! It’s amazing what you can weave into a weather segment!” another wrote.
“This is incredible,” a third agreed.
“You did so well to squeeze all that in.”
One follower said Auden deserved a “standing ovation” for his performance.
“That’s why you’re the best in the business!” one follower wrote.
“Legendary,” agreed another.
Taylor Mania is well underway, with the American singer kicking off the Australian leg of The Eras Tour at the MCG in Melbourne on Friday night.
She will perform two more MCG shows on February 17 and 18 before playing four nights at Sydney’s Accor Stadium from February 23 to 26.
Swift was seen being chauffeured to the MCG on Friday afternoon as part of a cavalcade of blacked-out Land Rovers.
It’s her first time performing in Australia since 2018.
