A teenager has died and a young girl is in a critical condition after a serious head-on collision near Dubbo, New South Wales.
Police and paramedics were called to Dunedoo Rd, near Ballimore Rd, Ballimore about 6pm on Thursday following reports of a crash between a semi-trailer and SUV.
The front passenger of the SUV, a 16-year-old girl, died at the scene.

A 10-year-old girl who was sitting in the back of the car was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver was treated by paramedics before being taken to Dubbo Hospital with minor injuries.
The semi-trailer driver was taken to Dubbo Hospital in a stable condition.
“A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident has commenced,” NSW Police said.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
Ballimore is located about 30km northeast of Dubbo.
